About the position The position at Peoples Bank involves providing exceptional customer service while adhering to the bank's policies. The role includes opening deposit accounts, processing transactions, selling bank products, assisting with customer requests, and resolving service issues. The individual will play a crucial role in helping the branch achieve its goals by delivering industry-leading customer service and identifying customer needs for referrals to appropriate business partners. Responsibilities • Deliver superior customer service with a friendly demeanor and can-do attitude. , • Develop and retain the customer base by greeting customers by name and being responsive to their needs. , • Maintain confidentiality of customer business and information. , • Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and refer them to platform associates. , • Maintain balancing and error records in line with policy and correct outages as needed. , • Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsement. , • Follow operational standards regarding security, risk management, and compliance. , • Complete required training for all bank and branch policies and procedures. , • Meet or exceed sales referral goals set by management. , • Maintain a well-developed knowledge of the complete line of products and services offered. , • Make calls to clients and/or prospects weekly to meet calling goals and record activities. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED; one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. , • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail. , • Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software (Notes, Word, and Excel). , • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. , • Positive and professional attitude. , • Proven team player. , • Reliable transportation. Nice-to-haves • Experience in a banking or customer service role. , • Familiarity with financial products and services.
