Position Overview: Customer Service & HomeCare Sales Specialist I (Remote)

The Customer Service & HomeCare Sales Specialist I at arenaflex serves as the critical first point of contact for prospective patients and caregivers exploring our Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) and LHCSA services. This role is a unique blend of consultative sales, empathetic customer service, and meticulous case management. Every call you take is an opportunity to educate, encourage, and enroll families in a program that can transform their quality of life.

Working remotely, you will engage with inbound callers, respond to emails and chats, and proactively reach out to leads with the goal of converting inquiries into active Service Records (SRs). You will serve as the bridge between curiosity and commitment, guiding families through the early stages of the enrollment journey with patience, professionalism, and genuine care.

Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Do Every Day

As a Customer Service & HomeCare Sales Specialist I, your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied, meaningful, and performance-driven. Your primary duties will include:

  • Lead Conversion & Enrollment: Act as the primary point of contact for prospective patients and caregivers, coaching them through the early stages of education about the CDPAP program. Your mission is to convert each lead into an active Service Record, helping families take the first critical step toward receiving care.
  • Patient & Caregiver Education: Work closely with patients and caregivers to clearly explain program benefits, eligibility requirements, and the enrollment process. Empower them to make informed decisions about their home care journey.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Collect and process necessary documentation required by the State Department of Health, patient insurance providers, and caregivers. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently to facilitate timely authorization of services.
  • One-Call Resolution Excellence: Deliver high-level customer service through one-call resolution whenever possible. Strive to answer questions, resolve concerns, and complete enrollment steps in a single interaction, demonstrating arenaflex’s commitment to care, compassion, and respect.
  • Performance Metrics: Consistently meet and exceed monthly performance benchmarks, including the creation of a minimum of four (4) Service Records per day for arenaflex’s CDPAP and LHCSA programs.
  • Talk Time Standards: Maintain a minimum of three (3) hours of productive talk time each day, contingent on call volume and marketing activity.
  • Quality Case Creation: Create high-quality, error-free cases by following established guides and ensuring every case contains accurate, complete data — setting the foundation for successful onboarding.
  • Rapid Response Time: Demonstrate effective case management by responding to emails, chats, and voicemails within one business day.
  • Detailed Case Notes: Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient and caregiver case notes in Salesforce, articulating case statuses with clarity and precision.
  • Empathy in Every Interaction: Provide genuine empathy, active listening, and care on every call. Recognize that behind every phone call is a family making important decisions about their loved one’s well-being.
  • Population Growth: Focus on the growth of arenaflex’s patient and caregiver population by diligently enrolling every valid lead who expresses interest in our programs.

What We’re Looking For: Ideal Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications & Experience

To thrive in this role, you will need a combination of sales aptitude, customer service excellence, and technological fluency. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Telephonic Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in phone-based sales, with the ability to engage prospects, overcome objections, and close enrollments.
  • High-Volume Call Management: Comfort and competence in managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls efficiently while maintaining quality and professionalism.
  • Customer Service Passion: A genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with proven ability to show empathy, practice active listening, and exercise patience in every interaction.
  • Salesforce Proficiency: Strong ability to articulate case statuses through detailed notes in Salesforce, leveraging CRM tools to track interactions and outcomes effectively.
  • Issue Resolution Skills: Ability to resolve issues over the telephone with eager clients comfortably and confidently, turning concerns into solutions.
  • Computer Proficiency: Strong typing skills, comfort with multiple software platforms, and the ability to leverage technology to resolve customer issues quickly and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Two (2) or more years of relevant experience in a similar sales or customer service position.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages, which is highly desirable given the diverse communities we serve.
  • Advanced Salesforce proficiency and experience working with healthcare CRM systems.

At arenaflex, base pay is one important component of our comprehensive total compensation package. Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and any required licensure or certifications.
