Credit Review Specialist

U.S. Bank is on a mission to help customers and businesses make better financial decisions. The Credit Review Specialist role involves conducting credit analyses for ACH customers, preparing credit approval documents, and monitoring customer accounts to mitigate credit risk.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering necessary information to make a credit decision based on behavioral factors
  • Preparing and presenting credit approval documents to appropriate credit approvers, to include frequent discussions with Credit Risk Management
  • Ability to knowledgably discuss the ACH product and processes with other staff members at all levels
  • Contacting Business Bankers as well as Customers to discuss their ACH facility as needed
  • Monitoring customer accounts in order to identify potential issues, thereby maximizing credit quality and minimizing the company’s credit risk and potential loss
  • Daily multi-tasking and strict adherence to deadlines
  • Analyzing data and updating spreadsheets essential to the management of the ACH portfolio

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically one or more years of related experience
  • Well-developed credit analysis and analytical skills
  • Basic knowledge of credit administration, policy and procedures
  • Good knowledge of economics, accounting, and finance
  • Basic knowledge of risk analysis
  • Effective technical report writing skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
