Sr. Motion Designer (Remote)

We're on a mission to create innovative and engaging user experiences, and we're looking for a talented Sr. Motion Designer to join our team at Google. As a Sr. Motion Designer, you will apply your passion for animation to enhance complex interactions and tackle challenging design problems. You will help define and implement Google's motion design language and contemplate how motion enhances Google's UX image, improves intuitiveness, and delights our users.

About the Role

• Define and execute the look and feel of Google products through motion design
• Provide designs, best practices, and guidance on animation and interactions for various devices and platforms
• Make great design recommendations and drive projects from concept to launch and execution
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to create compelling and relevant product experiences that consistently elevate the Google brand

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of experience in product design or UX
• Motion design experience with a focus on physics, graphics, and visual design elements
• A portfolio featuring multiple projects and your direct contributions

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization
• 2+ years of experience leading design projects
• 1+ year of experience working with senior leaders
• Experience using motion to reduce perceived latency
• Understanding of fundamental principles of animation and experience with animation tools (e.g., After Effects or similar)
