Remote Medical Benefits Specialist - $17/hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Remote Medical Benefits Specialist to join our Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical Client's healthcare team. As a Remote Medical Benefits Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive the care they need by processing prior authorization requests, verifying insurance coverage, and collaborating with healthcare providers and insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Submit and track prior authorization requests via inbound and outbound calls
- Verify patients' medical insurance eligibility and coverage
- Communicate with providers and insurers regarding patients to ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate records of approvals and denials
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate of $17/hour
- Full-time position with weekly pay and benefits
- Flexible schedule: 8am-8pm CST, Monday-Friday (8-hour shift between these hours)
- Equipment provided (must be able to pick up equipment in Irving, TX)
- Opportunity to work with a Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical Client
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of medical benefits experience (no exceptions)
- Ability to pick up equipment in Irving, TX
- Call center experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies
- Experience in healthcare or insurance is preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication abilities
