As a Senior Power BI Developer and Data Engineer on our solutions delivery team, you will have the unique opportunity to support the technical development for projects advancing the digital transformation of critical government systems with true mission impact. This position requires experience and passion for coding, and a strong desire to solve our customers’ unique technology challenges. Role and Responsibilities
- Architect and develop Microsoft Power BI interactive reports that visually tell data stories and provide business insights.
- Engineer and optimize data connections and storage solutions to include data lakes and Dataverse.
- Develop ETL scripts to clean and organize data and prepare it for storage and data analytics.
- Use Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) to build measures and calculated columns.
- Manipulate and clean data using Transform Data and Power Query M query formula language.
- Translating business needs into data strategies and stories.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 recent years architecting and developing Power BI data and visualization solutions at a Senior level or higher.
- Minimum of 7 years of developing data visualizations in Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or Google Charts and / or software development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience scripting in data engineering languages such as SQL and / or Python.
- Experience developing on an Agile team using a service management board and participating in Agile ceremonies to include sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, demos, and updating tickets.
- Ability to be self-driven and proactive with planning, development, and customer engagement.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD principles.
