Job DescriptionProject – the aim you’ll have: Testing systems in a service-based architecture. Analysis, writing and automating of tests at API level, running both in-memory pre-deployment and post-deployment against running applications. Using .NET API framework templates to automate system, integration and vendor integration tests on .NET services deployed on Kubernetes. Integrating testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and creating and contributing to PRs using trunk-based development techniques. Working closely with developers, business analysts, testers and other project stakeholders to build out testing capabilities. Some manual E2E testing where required. Working closely in scrum teams with product owners, project managers, business analysts and developers throughout all agile ceremonies to analyse and develop user stories, design and execute tests, and add value to the product being delivered to the business. Position – how you’ll contribute: Investment Book of Record. The project supports several strategic business objectives for the Client in terms of scalability and operational efficiency. It will also deliver an improvement in data availability across the firm. The application stack is made up of an Oracle database, .NET services and message brokers deployed on Kubernetes which integrate with the third-party vendor IBOR product.
QualificationsExpectations – the experience you need: Bringing a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in:
- Using and extending the existing API test framework.
- Integrating Reqnroll tests.
- Creating feature files and step definitions, using/creating/updating C# helper methods to write tests.
- Writing tests that incorporate messaging queues (Azure Service Bus experience is preferable).
- Documenting test cases using the BDD syntax in Azure DevOps/Visual Studio
- Adding automated tests to the main branch with Git using trunk-based development practices working closely with developers and other testers.
- Experience using mock services and stubs for API testing.
- Demonstrable understanding of principles of automated testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Static Testing techniques.
- Gherkin/BDD.
