Tech Lead Data Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead Data Engineer to join a high-impact project in the Trading & Supply domain, focused on integrating a trading platform into the European Power portfolio. This is a key leadership role, requiring both deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder management skills. You will guide a team of Data Engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Tech Lead or Senior Data Engineer role within energy trading, commodities, or financial services
- Expert-level skills in Python, Apache Kafka, Databricks, Azure Functions
- Strong experience in designing data architectures and leading end-to-end project implementations
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives
- Solid understanding of trading systems and market data is a strong advantage
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and design of data integration solutions for the European Power trading platform
- Guide and mentor a team of Data Engineers, providing technical oversight and best practices
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python, Databricks, and Azure Functions
- Design and manage real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka
- Ensure high standards in data architecture, quality, and governance
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and trading teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the data engineering stack
- Own the end-to-end delivery of complex data projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines
