Job Description

The Senior Finance Planner is a member of the finance team and provides financial, strategic, and predictive analysis and reporting to the organization. This role will regularly collaborate with the Director, the site CFO, site operational leadership and enterprise colleagues to coordinate and provide predictive models and forecasts supported by data and analytics to proactively identify emerging trends and future financial considerations. The Senior Finance Planner will partner with leadership to develop new analytics and tools that further improve forecasting which drives improved operational performance. In addition, leverages data, analytics, and statistical modeling to design the annual budget and lead the budgeting process. The Senior Finance Planner will mentor and assist in developing staff with an eye towards continuous improvement, efficiencies in processes and developing future planners. Actively communicates and presents information to various senior leadership audiences at the site and institutional level. Stays abreast of emerging issues and risks within the industry and serves as a champion in identifying and implementing industry best practices.

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance. - If degree is in Accounting or Finance, minimum of eight (8) years applicable experience in accounting or finance is required. Other business-related bachelor's degrees require a minimum of twelve (12) years of applicable accounting or finance experience. - A master’s degree in a business related field or, a CPA (active or inactive), CMA or CIA is preferred. Has an expert understanding of accounting and finance practices. Has advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Expert investigational skills, shows attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Solid customer-service skills; anticipates, understands and addresses customer needs in a timely manner. Advanced knowledge of the practice and the impact to the institutional financials of changes. Ability to work and lead in a team environment and develop constructive working relationships with others. Demonstrable communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and lead complex projects and activities. Possess initiative, analytical skills, and an ability to operate with a high level of productivity.
