Member Services Representative - Full-time / Part-time

About the role The Benefit Advocates will take incoming calls and emails from group contacts, members, medical providers, and affiliates to answer any questions they have related to the member's eligibility & benefits. The Benefit Advocates are primarily responsible for educating members on how to maximize the use of their benefits. This position is part time and will work a morning shift. This position is in office and does not offer hybrid, or remote work opportunity. What you"ll do

  • Handling client"s questions over the phone and via email. Questions vary greatly, and there is no script. Personal training is provided, and new team members usually start taking calls between 1-2 weeks of being hired.
  • Providing eligibility and benefits to providers offices
  • Enrolling new members and clients manually as needed
  • Facilitating requests to the Fulfillment Team to ensure new and renewing member receives an ID card
  • Ad-hoc help with data clean-up in our system, and other compliance related tasks

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Verbal and written communication skills including active listening
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, and SharePoint)
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
  • Demonstrate attention to details

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit for up to 8 hours a day
  • Able to talk to on the phone for up to 8 hours a day
  • Repetitive tasks each day
