Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and play a pivotal role in transforming the educational experiences of students with visual impairments. This remote position allows you to provide personalized instruction and support to students across New York, enhancing their learning journeys from the comfort of your home. Key Responsibilities • Deliver interactive online lessons tailored to the unique needs of visually impaired students. • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aimed at fostering student success and growth. • Continuously assess, monitor, and document student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary. • Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student’s education and well-being. Required Skills • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. • Proficiency with technology to facilitate effective virtual instruction. • Strong capability to design and execute individualized education plans (IEPs). • Experience in working collaboratively with families and educational support teams. Qualifications • Master's Degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students or a related discipline. • Valid New York TVI Certification. • Proven experience in teaching school-aged children, particularly those with visual impairments.
