Join our esteemed healthcare team as a Profee Plastic Surgery Coder, where you will play a pivotal role in accurately coding complex plastic surgeries at a renowned Level I Trauma and Teaching Facility. We seek a professional with in-depth knowledge of both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures, alongside a solid foundation in pediatric plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery, and breast reconstruction. Your expertise in coding evaluation and management (E/M) services within a clinical environment will be essential for your success. Key Responsibilities • Accurately code professional fee services for a variety of plastic surgeries, including cosmetic, craniofacial, and breast reconstruction procedures. • Ensure precise E/M coding for clinical visits and physical therapy sessions. • Provide expert coding guidance for pediatric plastic surgery cases, adhering to established coding protocols. • Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to guarantee accurate documentation and coding for complex trauma cases. • Utilize EPIC and 3M Stand-Alone Encoder for efficient coding input and validation. • Conduct coding audits when necessary and actively engage in quality improvement initiatives. Required Skills • 3-5 years of professional coding experience in plastic surgery, particularly in cosmetic, craniofacial, and breast reconstruction surgeries. • Demonstrated expertise in coding pediatric plastic surgery within a Level I Trauma and Teaching Facility. • Thorough understanding of Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding and physical therapy coding in a clinical context. • Proficiency in the use of EPIC and 3M Stand-Alone Encoder. • Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Qualifications • AAPC Certification is required.
