Job Posting: Virtual Special Education Teacher (SC Licensed) Company: Soliant Education Position: Virtual Special Education Teacher Location: South Carolina (Remote) Contract Type: 24'/25' School Year Contract Pay: Hourly, Negotiable Based on Experience Work Hours: 40 Hours per Week Compensation: Weekly Pay Job Description: Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024/2025 school year. This is a full-time, remote position, serving students in South Carolina. The ideal candidate will hold a South Carolina Special Education Multi-Categorical License and have experience teaching in a self-contained classroom. Previous virtual teaching experience is highly preferred, and we are looking for someone with a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities: • Provide direct virtual instruction to students with disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs. • Collaborate with other educators, staff, and parents to ensure the success of students. • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment. • Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional methods as needed. • Communicate regularly with families and school administration regarding student progress. • Participate in meetings and trainings as required by the school district. • Adhere to all special education laws, regulations, and district policies. Requirements: • Must hold a current South Carolina Multi-Categorical Special Education License. • Minimum of 3 years of onsite Special Education teaching experience in a classroom setting. • Previous virtual teaching experience is strongly preferred. • Comfortable teaching in a self-contained classroom with students of varying needs and abilities. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong communication. • Must be willing to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor. • Must possess general liability insurance. Compensation and Benefits: • Hourly Pay: Negotiable based on experience. • Weekly Pay: Direct deposit. • Independent Contractor: Flexible schedule and work-from-home benefits.
