Achieve offers live, online instruction, 1-on-1 tutoring and mentoring, and flexible course schedules that empower non-traditional college students to test out of college credits and earn higher level professional licenses.Role Overview:Achieve Test Prep is seeking an eLearning Social Science & Humanities Instructor to prepare customers to test out of traditional Social Science and Humanities courses, pass their CLEP and DSST exams, and help them stay motivated on their journey to earn their college degrees. The suitable candidate should have knowledge of the following courses and be able to teach them: Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Sociology, American Government, Art of the Western World, Ethics in America, US History, Humanities, and World Religions.Roles & Responsibilities:Teach assigned schedules and/or act as a substitute when main instructors are not available.Present lessons in a manner that aids understanding and engagementMotivate customers to succeedCollaborate with other instructors and team members and participate in meetingsFollow customers' journeys and inform the eLearning team of noteworthy observationsProvide one-on-one tutoring for customersPerform other eLearning-related tasksDesired Skills and Experience:A Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, or other Social Science courses.Three or more years of experience teaching Social Science courses with at least one year of virtual teaching experience.Experience working with Learning Management Systems, such as Zoom, Google doc, Google Slides, and other eLearning applicationsAbility to teach different types of learners in real-time in a manner that helps them understandExcellent audience engagement skillsStrong Internet connection, a functional computer, and a noise-canceling headsetEfficiency, professionalism, and dependabilityThorough knowledge of teaching best practices with a willingness to follow Achieve Test Prep’s eLearning policies and procedures.Job Details:Type: Part-Time Schedule: Preferred availability: At least 5 hours overlap between 5 PM – 1 AM EST (Flexible, Availability between 9 AM and 5 PM EST is also a plus) Remote: 100% Online Apply for the job now!
