Job DutiesMicrosoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:Research and test operating systems-level software compilers, and network distribution software. Plan, architect, deploy, or support complex client/server or base software systems. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. Establish standards for a design, architecture, and recovery process that results in comprehensive, scalable recovery plans across multiple groups and services. Develop or contribute to creating an implementation, validation, and rollback plan. Lead investigations of problems by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes. Microsoft Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.Pay Range and Benefits InformationThe offered base pay range for this specific position (EG2420989a), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $182,312 to $212,312 per year.Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
