Job description: Job Title: Network Architect 4Location: Richmond, VA 23219 RemoteDuration: 6+ months with possible extensionThis role is mostly full time remote work with quarterly in-person meetings with leaders.Responsibilities:
- Document comprehensive network designs that integrate multiple network technologies, such as LANs, WANs, wireless networks, and VPNs to support the organizations business operations and communication needs.
- Design and document the entire network implementation process
- Monitoring network performance and taking follow-up steps to resolve latency issues and security concerns
- Performing regular network upgrades to create greater efficiency
- Creating documentation throughout the design and deployment process for future reference
- Develop patterns and standards for all network designs
- The ability to analyze data traffic and system performance to determine future upgrades.
- Work with our IT staff and thirds-party equipment and software vendors to ensure the network needs are met.
- Research new technologies and solutions, and asses new technologies for adoption
- Define multisite network operations and software applications.
- Train, mentor, and transfer skills to the extended team.
- Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains and networking layers.
- Aligns architecture strategy with business goals.
- Defines, explains, and advocates technology strategy.
