We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting data center operations - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.The Global Network Delivery organization, within AWS, is seeking a senior analytics leader to build our metrics and reporting suite, build predictive analytics, oversee our data center inside plant fiber capex budget, identify cost savings opportunities, and act as the single interface with software teams to provide business requirements that will transform the physical network delivery process.You will lead a team of business intelligence engineers, business analysts, and program managers. Through your team, you will build a full suite of metrics and reporting tools to help manage the full lifecycle of the physical network delivery process. Your metrics and tools will identify opportunities for process improvement and risks to execution, and leverage statistical methods to project delivery timelines. You will improve upon our fiber capex forecasting process, implement and drive controllership over our capex spending, and identify areas for cost savings. You will develop a deep understanding of the networking physical delivery process, ensure processes are automatable, and establish business requirements to vend to software teams. You will seek to improve our processes and tools through automation to reduce SLAs and drive on time delivery. You will establish feedback mechanisms to identify defects and themes in the delivery process and leverage these to create business requirements for software automation.The ideal candidate possesses strong program and project management skills, strong technical analytical skills, experience managing complex and large-scale technology projects (including cost, schedule and performance for portfolios, programs, or individual projects), a proven track record of developing and/or improving processes and procedures, demonstrated excellence working with matrixed teams and influencing without authority, and ability to earn trust and deliver results quickly. Successful candidates are highly responsive and communicate effectively with technical teams to collect requirements and translate those to internal stakeholders to deliver results at scale. You must be comfortable managing remote teams and multiple competing projects simultaneously.You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
