South College School of Nursing is seeking experienced nursing professionals to serve as Nursing Exam Item-Writers for a 10-week, contract-based assignment. This role offers a remote opportunity to contribute to high-quality nursing education assessments across the LPN, ASN, and BSN programs. Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with course leads to develop NCLEX-style exam questions.
• Follow South College’s item-writing guidelines and examination blueprints.
• Authentically author original items without use of copyrighted or AI-only content.
• Provide rationales and citations for all response options.
• Classify items according to Bloom’s Taxonomy and the NCLEX Test Plan.
• Submit assigned questions weekly, based on subject area.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing.
• Active, unencumbered RN license (compact license preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of full-time RN clinical experience.
• Post-secondary nursing education and NCLEX item-writing experience required.
