Job Description of Dock Loader: As a Dock Loader at FedEx, your primary responsibility will be managing the loading and unloading of freight from trucks, sorting items, and ensuring that shipments are handled correctly.This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will need to operate machinery, such as forklifts, to move freight safely and efficiently. Responsibilities of Dock Loader:
- Safely load and unload goods from trucks and trailers using the appropriate equipment
- Keep the dock area free from debris, safe, and well-maintained.
- Practice caution and follow safety guidelines consistently to prevent accidents and maintain a safe setting.
- Examine the freight for any potential harm and quickly report any irregularities or problems identified.
- Employ efficient communication strategies when engaging with both colleagues and managers to ensure clarity and cohesion within the team.
Requirements of Dock Loader:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in dock work, warehouse operations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours
