About the position Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Commercial Account Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. This role is pivotal in driving the adoption of AWS services among our existing customers, particularly in the mid and small market segments. As a Commercial Account Manager, you will leverage your technical sales expertise to engage with customers at the CXO level, as well as with software developers and IT architects. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute a territory coverage plan that aligns with our business objectives and consistently meets quarterly revenue targets. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a defined set of accounts, driving revenue growth, and increasing market share. You will create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services, ensuring that our customers understand the benefits and capabilities of our cloud solutions. Your efforts will focus on accelerating customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and a successful go-to-market strategy, ultimately achieving desired customer outcomes. You will maintain a robust sales pipeline, work collaboratively with partners to extend our reach, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. As part of a larger team of over 150 Account Managers and 350 cross-functional team members, you will contribute to a culture of innovation and problem-solving, helping our customers navigate the complexities of cloud adoption and technology integration. Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical sales background to engage at the CXO level and with software developers and IT architects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle experience in technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering, or consulting experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.

  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or Management Information Systems (MIS).

  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent.
