JOB DESCRIPTION Are you considering transitioning from your current role as a Paralegal to becoming a Digital Reporter? As a Paralegal - Digital Reporter ("DR"), your primary responsibility would involve overseeing civil litigation proceedings and capturing all content, including witness testimony, using digital tools. The Digital Reporter is responsible for: ? Overseeing proceedings as an unbiased custodian of the record. ? Administering oaths to witnesses and carrying out responsibilities as a State Notary. ? Utilizing advanced audio technology to accurately record proceedings. ? Accurately annotating case events and terminology for precise transcription. ? Performing thorough research and validating information from diverse sources. ? Proficiently utilizing digital databases and online research tools. REQUIREMENTS ? State Notary Commission or eligibility to obtain it ? Possess or have the ability to obtain certification/state licensure (in required states) ? Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, U.S. civil proceedings ? Ownership of or willingness to acquire digital reporting equipment ? Confidence to moderate live legal proceedings ? Fluent in English speaking, reading, and writing ? Proficient with technology, including strong keyboard skills ? Professional demeanor, reliability, punctuality, and presentability ? Willingness to work as an independent contractor ? Note: No shorthand nor stenography is required ? Willing to work both remotely and in person.
