The Difference You Will Make: Airbnb is seeking a Communications Associate to support the U.S. Policy Communications Team and tell the Airbnb story across the country. You will work alongside a cross-functional team from public policy, legal, trust and safety, and more to showcase the benefits of sharing your home and traveling on Airbnb. You must be comfortable writing, organizing, and supporting communications campaigns with high-reach and visibility. You will be adept at time management, developing processes, working with journalists, liaising with cross-functional teams, organizing media inquiries and gathering stories from within our host community. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, engaged, proactive, organized and solutions-oriented. A Typical Day: • Support Regional Communications Managers in proactive policy communications strategy and reactive responses to news and local impacts to the business • Produce and maintain the proactive U.S. policy communications narrative • Develop internal and external written materials: story pitches, op-eds, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, talking points, etc • Serve as connective tissue between regional U.S. comms leads. • Provide organizational support to the U.S. policy communications team • Identify opportunities to partner with Airbnb’s public policy team regarding new community policies that protect the business and strengthen the company’s reputation Your Expertise: • Bachelor’s degree • 3+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, including supporting a team in a communications and administrative capacity • Ability to exercise strong judgment and maintain confidentiality • Strong process-oriented skills and passion for learning, improving, and sharing best practices • Excellent communication and writing skills • Acute attention to detail and follow through, and strong organizational skills • Knowledge and expertise in building and executing organic campaigns and strategies that drive favorable press and social buzz • Proactive self-starter with a proven track record of taking initiative • Positive attitude, enthusiasm and ability to keep a level head in even the most stressful situations • Personal integrity that reflects Airbnb’s core values and commitment to diversity and belonging Your Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
