Together, we can build our future! Cogent?s Service Center in Riverside, MO is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator. As a welder/fabricator in this position, you will assist in fabricating pump and piping skids for various industries. This will be a combination of structural and pipe fit up and welding. A qualified candidate should have experience in both structural and pipe fit up and welding and be familiar with AMSE welding codes. Candidate must pass welder qualifications to Cogent procedures in GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW within 30 days of hire date. Daily Tasks Will Include ? Read and interpret blueprints or digital models ? Move steel with a forklift and overhead crane ? Cut material to size using a band saw cutting torch or grinder ? Layout parts and prep material for welding ? Setup machines and weld carbon and stainless steels with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes ? Weld in all positions ? Pass various types of visual and nondestructive inspections on completed work ? Follow safety regulations and PPE requirements ? Maintain a neat and clean work area ? Other duties may apply Position Requirements ? Solid communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas ? Thrives in a fast-paced work environment; responds with a sense of urgency ? Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects ? Basic computer knowledge required (Gmail, Word, Excel) ? Must supply your own welding hood and hand tools ? Must pass welder qualifications to Cogent procedures in GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW within 30 days of hire date
