About the position The Warehouse Putaway Associate at Staples plays a crucial role in the supply chain by ensuring the efficient handling and movement of products within the warehouse. This position involves operating material handling equipment, performing general maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Associates may rotate through various roles, including receiving, replenishment, and shipping, contributing to the overall success of the Staples Supply Chain Team. Responsibilities ? Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, turrets, or electric pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse. , ? Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties inside and outside the facility. , ? Confirm accuracy of products during receiving and address discrepancies and damages with colleagues. , ? Manually unload trucks and palletize products as needed. , ? Match item quantities and descriptions to packing slips on returned items and check in returned products. , ? Organize, stack, and shrink-wrap customer orders on pallets and load trucks manually. Requirements ? Minimum three (3) months related experience in a warehouse environment or equivalent training/education. , ? Ability to pass a drug screen legally. , ? Basic English language skills for verbal and written communication. , ? Ability to work additional hours beyond the scheduled shift as needed. , ? Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more. , ? Ability to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 and 100 pounds by hand. , ? Ability to walk and stand 100% of the time. , ? Must be at least 18 years old. Nice-to-haves ? High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience. , ? Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cherry pickers. Benefits ?
