Senior Trading System Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Trading Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Trading System Engineer, you will work alongside quant traders to continually improve our option trading systems. Our systems are primarily Java-based. Parts of the execution platform are written in C++ with FPGA components. You should be comfortable working in all parts of this tech stack. You will work in an environment with an automated daily release cycle and a focus on top-quality and scalable software development practices such as code reviews and automated testing. What you'll do ? Partner with the Trading System Engineering team on key operational performance and scalability ? Full-cycle application development, network programming, and platform tuning ? Work with Network Engineering to improve performance and platform enhancements ? Apply a data-driven approach to system improvements ? Solve low-latency trading problems and optimization of performance-critical code ? Continuously contribute to the team?s performance architecture ? Create new features and help improve existing systems What you'll need ? 6+ years of performance engineering experience within trading or similar field ? Proven coding ability in C++ or Java as primary development language ? Strong knowledge of network programming (raw sockets, latency optimization) ? Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, collaborative environment ? A desire to continuously learn and proactively improve processes ? Bachelor's or Master?s level degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a similar field Additionally, certain positions at Belvedere Trading are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
