About the position The City of South Pasadena is seeking dedicated Firefighter/EMTs and Firefighter/Paramedics to join their emergency services team. This full-time position requires candidates to be Florida certified and non-tobacco users. The role involves responding to emergency situations, providing medical assistance, and participating in ongoing training programs. Responsibilities ? Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance as needed. , ? Participate in fire suppression and rescue operations. , ? Complete required training and certification programs, including paramedic training if applicable. , ? Maintain equipment and ensure readiness for emergency response. , ? Engage in community education and outreach regarding fire safety and emergency preparedness. Requirements ? Florida certification as a Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic. , ? Non-tobacco user. , ? Completion of a City application is required for all applicants. , ? CPAT and Fire TEAM test required for applicants with less than one year of fire service experience.
