Dot Esports, the premier destination for gaming & esports coverage online, is looking for freelance writers anywhere in the world to join our news desk. This role is freelance and fully remote.
Interested candidates should have in-depth knowledge of World of Warcraft and must be comfortable writing news/guides about various gaming-related topics related to the MMO. This is a great opportunity to cover the gaming communities you love while working with one of the best teams in esports journalism. Responsibilities
- Help cover news and guides around WoW
- Work with editors to develop pitches
- Meet deadlines for publishing stories
- Follow trending topics through Google Trends and Twitter
- Understanding the online WoW community
- Publish multiple stories a week for Dot's WoW beat
Preferred qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience writing in the gaming industry
- Knowledge of SEO practices
- Weekend availability
Compensation ranges from $16-250 per article depending on length and content type.
