Description Description We are seeking talented & passionate engineers who will be tasked with leveling up the HomePod speaker experience with Siri?s next generation natural interaction on Apple?s tvOS devices creating simple ways for our users to enjoy content. We seek individuals with experience in audio/media, API design and development, expertise in distributed systems to help build conversation audio experience for our users. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background with an understanding of system level development, integration of devices with cloud-based services, analyze performance and optimize in complex multi-process environments. You will be responsible for building and working closely with cross-functional partners to enhance the speaker experience. You will be partnering closely with a wide variety of teams across Apple, including Siri, Music, AirPlay, Home and a host of other teams to build and grow Apple?s software ecosystem. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications ? 3 years development experience with Obj-C C/C?# coding, debuggers ? Understanding of system level development and core CS fundamentals, such as multithreading, abstractions and distributed systems ? Should be comfortable about living in other people?s code and understanding large, multi-project codebases ? Experience with industry software engineering processes including unit test development, performance measurement, quality engineering and design group collaboration ? Ability to break down high-level feature requests and architect practical solutions ? Experience in API design and development ? Expert knowledge of Objective-C or C/C ? Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills ? Passion for quality and attention to detail ? Aptitude to independently learn new technologies ? At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple?s discretionary employee stock programs.
