Title: Senior IT Project Manger - Finance & Accounting Location: Remote Duration: 12+ months Compensation: $60.00 - 70.00/hr Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. Senior IT Project Manger - Finance & Accounting Overview: The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading multiple cross-functional project teams across various Finance domains, including Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and more. Experience in Finance-type projects and understanding how financial teams operate will be beneficial. You will be responsible for managing projects that may involve teams from Finance, Accounting, Audit, and FP&A. The role also involves supporting a team, and while experience with Oracle and Oracle-related projects is preferred, ERP experience is the key requirement. Additionally, exposure to financial services and partnering with business units supporting finance functions is important. Key Responsibilities: • Manage multiple medium to high-complexity projects simultaneously, from planning to completion, while ensuring milestones are achieved within time, budget, and scope constraints. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance and business partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. • Develop and manage project schedules, resources, financials, and execution plans. • Facilitate project meetings, track progress, and adjust plans as needed to meet customer commitments and ensure project success. • Oversee and manage external vendors to ensure they meet contractual deliverables. • Direct the efforts of project teams, providing guidance, setting clear goals, and ensuring that project outcomes are aligned with business objectives. • Mitigate risks by identifying potential issues early, managing change control processes, and proactively recommending solutions. • Provide updates on project status, risks, and milestones through standardized reports and facilitate decision-making processes. • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across teams and vendors to support project goals and ensure smooth execution. • Apply best practices in project management, adhering to PMI methodologies and consistently evaluating project performance. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification. • 6+ years of project management experience, with 8+ years in IT or related business experience. • 3-5 years of experience in managing projects involving full project lifecycle methodologies. • Strong experience managing SDLC projects, with a preference for those using an iterative methodology. • Experience influencing and leading project teams without formal reporting relationships. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management. • Strong analytical skills, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project) and SharePoint. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems, especially in finance-related projects. • Exposure to financial services. • Familiarity with finance team processes and how to align them with business objectives. Qualifications: • Training/Experience: Typically requires a BS/BA or equivalent, with 8+ years of experience in a related field or an MS/MA and 5+ years of experience. • Problem Complexity: High-level critical thinking and problem-solving are essential, with a focus on resolving complex, cross-departmental issues. • Autonomy: Operates with significant independence and makes decisions in uncertain situations, often requiring new approaches. • Leadership: Responsible for developing or guiding others to create innovative solutions to complex strategic problems, often involving cross-departmental considerations.
