About the position The Senior Patient Access Center Advocate at Evernorth Care Group plays a crucial role in enhancing patient experiences by providing professional and courteous assistance to customers. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary care team and involves managing patient calls, scheduling appointments, verifying coverage, and ensuring timely access to care under the supervision of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Schedule appointments accurately and meet patient needs by determining the best scheduling solution. , Verify patient coverage and eligibility, complete necessary paperwork, and assist with MyChart portal questions. , Answer telephone calls in compliance with departmental procedures and quality metrics, determining the nature of the call and routing it appropriately. , Document all outreach attempts and conversations clearly and comprehensively in the Electronic Health Record. Requirements High school degree or equivalent related experience required. , One year plus of customer service experience and proficiency in PC skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). , One year plus of customer service experience in healthcare, including typing and scheduling application experience (EHR/EMR). , Ability to convey information to customers in a warm, clear, and concise manner. , Demonstrates positive customer service behaviors. Nice-to-haves Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
