Health Insurance Advisor, New Jersey

We are seeking a qualified healthcare consultant to provide expert advice and guidance to individuals navigating the complexities of US health insurance. The consultant will primarily focus on Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance options in New Jersey. Responsibilities: Client Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of client's health needs, financial situations, and eligibility for various programs. Insurance Analysis: Compare and contrast different health insurance options, highlighting benefits, costs, coverage limitations, and any relevant loopholes or special considerations. Enrollment Assistance: Assist client with the enrollment process, including completing applications and gathering necessary documentation. Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing support and answer questions related to billing, claims, and changes in coverage. Requirements: Deep understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance plans (HMOs, PPOs, HDHPs). In-depth knowledge of New Jersey-specific health insurance programs, eligibility requirements, and enrollment procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain complex healthcare concepts clearly and effectively. Strong understanding of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including Affordable Care Act (ACA) provisions. Familiarity with healthcare enrollment platforms and tools. Preferred Qualifications: Experience providing healthcare consulting services to individuals or families. Certification in health insurance counseling or a related field. Additional Information: All relevant client information will be provided to the selected consultant on a need-to-know basis. The consultant will be expected to maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information. The project timeframe will be discussed with the selected consultant upon hiring.
