Job Details GENERAL SUMMARY: The Customer Service Representative serves as a primary contact for patrons. Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative encompass aiding customers in finding and buying items, managing the cash register, restocking goods, tidying the store, and fulfilling additional tasks as directed by the Store Manager to enhance store revenue and ensure customer contentment while safeguarding company resources. DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Deliver exceptional customer care by warmly welcoming and aiding patrons. • Use the cash register and scanner to list and calculate the cost of the customer's items, receive payments, provide correct change, package the products, and offer assistance with selecting items when required. • Adhere to the established procedures for handling company products; unpack items, manage inventory, replenish shelves, and arrange product showcases. • Perform cleaning duties such as store tidying, waste disposal, dusting, and floor mopping, in addition to maintaining restroom and receiving areas, and assisting with the arrangement of outdoor displays.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: • Mastering the art of effective interpersonal communication and verbal expression is crucial. • Comprehension of safety regulations and procedures. • Proficiency in interpreting and adhering to planograms and guidelines for merchandise display. • Understanding fundamental protocols for managing cash transactions. • Basic mathematical skills. • Proficiency in carrying out tasks related to cash register operations. • Capability to maintain inventory of goods. WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: • It is desirable to have a high school diploma or its equivalent. WORKING CONDITIONS: • Regularly moving on foot and staying upright. • Regularly bending, crouching, and kneeling to operate the checkout counter, arrange goods, and receive deliveries; this might also involve pushing and/or pulling rolltainers for stocking items. • Regularly using tools and devices like handheld scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, and merchandise containers is common in the course of work, along with operating equipment such as two-wheel dollies, U-boats, and rolltainers. • Regularly and correctly raising objects weighing up to 40 pounds; intermittently lifting items weighing up to 55 pounds. • Infrequent ascent to heights of up to six feet using a step ladder. • The environment is characterized by high speed and a moderate amount of noise. • Infrequent contact with external weather elements.
