Product Owner & Solutions Summer Intern - Arch Insurance
About This Internship Archs 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry... interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback. About This Role Partner with Business Solutions and Operations leadership to define implementation plans and business cases for strategic initiatives. Gather and analyze data from stakeholders to create execution plans for achieving performance goals and metrics. Assist in defining the Operations/Technology roadmap in collaboration with Business Solutions leadership. Support User Acceptance Testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Identify and recommend process and technology enhancements for continuous improvement. Work within a high-exposure, fast-paced team aligned with leadership overseeing complex strategic initiatives. Operate with ambiguity and take initiative without needing detailed instructions. Gain exposure to senior leadership, technology, and strategic analytic partners, with opportunities to lead meetings. Qualifications Actively completing area of study in Business Administration, Information Technology, Product Management, Operations, or relevant program. Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher. College level - current Junior or Senior student. Minor in Information Technology or relevant program a plus. Interest in agile methodology or scrum a plus. Knowledge of JIRA platform preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner. Team player who collaborates effectively. Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment. Location & Work Arrangement The program dates are June 2 - August 8, 2025. This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home. This position is in Jersey City, NJ. Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role. Timeline Arch summer internship positions will be posted from September 2024 and will be unposted when filled. Pay For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Jersey City, NJ, the hourly rate is $22-30 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate.
