Job Summary: As the warehouse assistant, you are the frontline manager of materials handling. You will be responsible for receiving, unpacking, and organizing inventory, picking orders, preparing outbound shipments, and operating forklifts. Maintaining quality control standards, complying with safety protocols, and maintaining precise records of all materials movements are also essential. Responsibilities: • Operating a forklift in harsh environments like cold temperatures, confined spaces, or uneven surfaces poses unique challenges. Acquiring specific skills and knowledge for such conditions through requisite training is necessary to stay safe while operating the machine • The efficient use of railcars requires attention to detail, particularly with regards to the opener, hopper, and lids • Becoming an adept at performing routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure proper functioning of elevators • Keeping a space clean requires using various cleaning methods, such as scrubbing, shoveling, and vacuuming to remove debris from all surfaces and spaces • Regular cleaning and maintenance of the unloading area, railcar area, and equipment is essential in preventing the accumulation of dirt, dust, and other unwanted materials • We currently have an opening for a maintenance technician with expertise in primary upkeep duties like changing belts and employing lubrication.
