Job Description
As an American Airlines Flight Attendant, you will ensure the safety and comfort of our passengers while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. The role involves all duties related to cabin management, passenger interaction, and safety protocols adherence, providing an enjoyable in-flight experience for passengers.
Responsibilities
– Conduct pre-flight safety checks and ensure the aircraft cabin is prepared for flight.
– Greet passengers, assist with seating arrangements, and help with luggage stowage.
– Deliver in-flight announcements and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
– Serve meals and refreshments and sell onboard duty-free goods.
– Provide special attention to passengers with special needs, including children, elderly, and disabled passengers.
– Handle minor conflicts and emergencies calmly and professionally.
– Complete post-flight duties including cabin checks and inventory management.
Requirements
– Minimum age of 21 years.
– High school diploma or GED equivalent.
– Ability to relocate as necessary.
– Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
– Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
– Possess a valid passport with no international travel restrictions.
– Ability to work in varying shifts and adapt to varying climates and time zones.
Educational Qualifications
– High school diploma or GED required.
– Higher education or certifications in hospitality, communication, or customer service are advantageous.
Experience
– Previous customer service experience is highly preferred.
– Prior experience in the hospitality or airline industry is a plus but not required.
