Data Entry Specialist (remote)

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Data Entry Specialist with proficiency in Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to join our dynamic home health team. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately entering and updating patient OASIS information into the Epic EMR system, ensuring the integrity and completeness of the data. Key Responsibilities

Data Entry and Maintenance: • Accurately enter patient demographics, OASIS recommendations, and other relevant information into the Epic EMR system. • Update and maintain client turnaround time • Ensure data accuracy and completeness Epic EMR Utilization: • Navigate and utilize the Epic EMR system proficiently to perform data entry tasks. • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Epic EMR data entry. • Collaborate with IT support for system-related concerns. Quality Assurance: • Conduct regular audits of OASIS records to ensure data accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. • Identify and correct discrepancies or errors in OASIS reviews versus OASIS entries. Communication: • Collaborate with Team Manager, Scheduler, and other team members to ensure performance and processes are effective. • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to address data-related queries. Adherence to Policies and Procedures: • Follow established protocols and procedures for data entry and record maintenance. • Stay updated on changes and updates to Epic EMR functionalities and incorporate them into daily tasks. Qualifications: • Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare or home health setting. • Willing to gain proficiency in using Epic EMR system is required. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Ability to work independently in a remote setting. • Effective communication skills. Education and Certification: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Must reside in United States Working Conditions: This is a remote position, and the candidate must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup.
