Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams: Work closely with product owners, data engineers, and agile technology squads to capture and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Data ingestion and transformation: Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines that ingest VoC data from the arenaflex Survey Platform into the enterprise data lake.
- Model architecture: Build scalable data models and schema designs that support high‑performance analytics, reporting, and machine‑learning workloads.
- Big‑data processing: Leverage Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python to enable batch and real‑time analytics, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Performance optimization: Identify bottlenecks, refactor code, and implement best practices to improve processing efficiency across large‑scale data ecosystems.
- Automation & tooling: Develop and maintain automation scripts (Shell, Python, PySpark) for data validation, cleansing, and workflow orchestration.
- Quality assurance: Conduct rigorous testing, including unit, integration, and performance tests, to guarantee data integrity for downstream consumers.
- Insight delivery: Produce clear, concise dashboards and visualizations that translate complex data into business‑ready insights for stakeholders across arenaflex.
- Continuous improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance the overall VoC analytics capability.
- Agile participation: Contribute to sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming, adhering to Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 3 + years of hands‑on experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies (Hive, Spark, HDFS) and Python/PySpark programming.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing data models for large‑scale analytics platforms.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and data‑quality frameworks.
- Experience working in an Agile environment, delivering incremental value in short iterations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French is a plus given the Burkina Faso location.
