Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Service

  • Greet every customer with a warm, approachable demeanor, creating an inviting atmosphere from the moment they enter the store.
  • Assist shoppers in locating products, answering product‑related questions, and offering recommendations that match their needs and budget.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of current promotions, store layout, and inventory to provide accurate, timely information.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to management when necessary while always aiming for a positive outcome.

Sales & Transaction Management

  • Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system with precision, ensuring each transaction is processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments responsibly, adhering to arenaflex’s cash‑handling policies and safeguarding store assets.
  • Promote add‑on sales and upsell complementary items, contributing to daily sales targets and overall store performance.

Merchandise Handling & Store Presentation

  • Unload deliveries from trucks, verify shipment contents, and transport merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor.
  • Stock shelves, arrange displays, and replenish high‑traffic areas to ensure a well‑organized, fully stocked shopping environment.
  • Conduct regular aisle checks, tidy up spills, and keep the store clean, safe, and visually appealing for all customers.
  • Assist with inventory counts, price tag updates, and planogram compliance to maintain consistency across arenaflex locations.

Safety, Security & Team Collaboration

  • Stay vigilant of customer activity, identifying potential safety hazards or security concerns and reporting them immediately.
  • Participate in loss‑prevention initiatives, including monitoring for shoplifting and ensuring proper merchandise handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with fellow associates and management to achieve store goals, share best practices, and foster a supportive team environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, ranging from seasonal merchandising projects to special promotional events.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to comprehend and follow retail operational documents and directives.
  • Experience: Prior experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant, grocery, or drug‑store settings is advantageous, though not mandatory. Demonstrated customer‑service experience is highly valued.
  • Physical Capability: Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lb (occasionally up to 55 lb) from floor level to above shoulder height. Must be comfortable with frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Full‑time commitment is expected.
