About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and meticulous Remote Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Data Analyst to join their globally distributed team. This fully remote position is responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting on EHS data from various sources to identify trends, assess risks, and support the development of proactive safety initiatives. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement in safety performance, and providing actionable insights to EHS leadership. The ideal candidate possesses strong data visualization skills, a keen understanding of EHS principles, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, concise reports and recommendations. Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and training programs based on data-driven insights. Track and report on compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Support EHS audits by preparing relevant data and assisting with analysis of findings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand operational contexts, and ensure the accuracy of reports. Stay current with EHS best practices, emerging trends, and relevant data analysis techniques. Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as requested by EHS management and other stakeholders. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management processes and EHS performance metrics.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within an Environmental Health and Safety context. Proven proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python). Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable. Solid understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety principles, regulations, and common metrics. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly to non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote work environment. High attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with incident management software or EHS management systems is a plus. Must have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office setup for effective remote work.

Benefits

Our client offers a competitive salary, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and a generous retirement savings plan. We provide extensive opportunities for professional growth, continuous learning, and skill development in data analytics and EHS. This is a fully remote position, offering unparalleled flexibility. You will contribute significantly to ensuring safety and compliance across our operations, impacting areas such as Durham, North Carolina, US and globally, all from the comfort of your home office.
