To learn more about our company, please visit our website; https://www.trulieve.com Requisition ID: 20022 Remote Work Available: Yes Job Title: QA Lead – DAT Reports to: Sr. Manager of IT QA & Automation Department: IT Quality Assurance Position Summary: This position entails leadership, management, and hands-on responsibilities in ensuring the quality, reliability, and integrity of Data & Analytics solutions, including data pipelines, reporting, integrations, and data platform initiatives. The QA Lead - DAT will oversee test strategy, test execution, defect management, and quality governance for projects involving data migration, ETL/ELT processes, Snowflake, reporting validation, and cross-system data reconciliation. This role partners closely with data engineers, analysts, product owners, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet functional, operational, and business requirements. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans for Data & Analytics projects, including data migrations, reporting initiatives, integrations, and platform modernization efforts. Lead end-to-end testing activities for DAT solutions, including functional testing, integration testing, data validation, reconciliation testing, regression testing, and post-deployment validation. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data moving across source systems, transformation layers, and target platforms. Create and maintain QA deliverables, including test strategies, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, execution summaries, and go/no-go recommendations. Oversee defect tracking, triage, root cause analysis, and resolution follow-up to ensure timely closure of quality issues. Coordinate with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and validate expected business outcomes. Establish and enforce QA best practices, quality gates, and standards for data testing, reporting validation, and release readiness. Support validation of ETL/ELT pipelines, schema changes, file ingestion processes, dashboard/report outputs, and downstream system integrations. Drive risk identification and mitigation for data-related issues such as truncation, transformation errors, mismatched counts, incorrect mappings, null handling, and reconciliation failures. Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on testing progress, defect trends, risks, and overall quality readiness. Partner with business users and SMEs to support UAT planning, execution, and sign-off for DAT initiatives. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance QA efficiency, data validation coverage, release confidence, and operational resilience. Additional Responsibilities: Work closely with DAT functional and technical teams to understand business rules, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and reporting requirements. Collaborate with project managers and delivery leads to align QA activities with sprint goals, release timelines, and deployment readiness. Support production validation and hypercare activities following releases, including data tie-outs and issue verification. Help identify opportunities for test automation, reusable validation frameworks, and improved test data management for DAT initiatives. Participate in Agile ceremonies, planning sessions, defect triage meetings, and cross-functional readiness reviews. Promote a quality-first mindset across the DAT delivery lifecycle and advocate for early validation of data risks. Provide cross-functional support as needed Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead and mentor QA analysts and testers supporting DAT initiatives. Assign testing tasks, monitor execution progress, and ensure timely delivery of QA activities across concurrent projects. Provide coaching on data testing techniques, defect management, documentation quality, and QA best practices. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and continuous-improvement-oriented team environment. Support onboarding and development of team members assigned to the DAT quality function. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Experience leading QA efforts for enterprise data, reporting, or analytics initiatives is strongly preferred. 5+ years of experience in software or data quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a QA leadership or lead role. Experience testing data platforms, reporting solutions, ETL/ELT pipelines, integrations, or enterprise analytics systems. Strong understanding of data validation, source-to-target mapping, transformation testing, reconciliation, and defect triage. Experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, and execution reporting for complex cross-system initiatives. Proficiency with SQL and validating data across databases, files, and reporting outputs. Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate QA efforts across concurrent projects. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Snowflake, Informatica, SAP data flows, or other enterprise data platforms and integration ecosystems. Experience validating dashboards, business intelligence reports, and data feeds. Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for test management and defect tracking. Experience with test automation, data validation automation, or scripting for QA efficiency. Knowledge of regulatory, audit, or controls-related validation requirements for enterprise reporting and data processes. ISTQB or equivalent certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to validate complex data transformations and business rules across multiple systems. Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, SDLC, and release readiness practices. Ability to communicate technical risks and quality impacts clearly to business and technical audiences. Proficiency in defect management, test documentation, and status reporting. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Collaborative leadership style with a focus on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
