PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Area Sales Manager (End User) in Sao Paulo, Brazil on a Service Contract basis reporting to Regional Sales Manager. JOB SUMMARY: As the Technical End User Specialist based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, you will bring your technical and commercial expertise in PPE and industrial sectors to drive brand adoption and product approvals with end users. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a key role in developing Portwest’s presence across key industries such as oil and gas, mining, and energy, supporting continued growth in the region. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Build strong relationships with key end users including technical, procurement, HSE, and operations teams. Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with target accounts to introduce and position Portwest products. Identify companies within oil and gas, mining, energy, and related sectors with strong potential for product adoption. Lead the full product homologation process including technical presentations, testing, validation, and follow-up. Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards, including managing certification processes required for the Brazilian market. Provide consultative technical support by identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate Portwest solutions. Deliver product training sessions to end users on features, benefits, correct usage, and compliance. Develop clear and effective proposals, technical documentation, and follow-up actions to support conversion. Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to inform business strategy. Collaborate internally with sales, marketing, and product teams to align solutions with market needs. Track homologation progress and ensure successful conversion into specifications, projects, and purchase orders. REQUIREMENTS: 3 to 5+ years’ experience in PPE, technical sales, or industrial sectors such as construction, oil and gas, mining, or manufacturing. Experience working with manufacturers, distributors, or in a technical sales or account management role. University or tertiary qualification in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Mechanical or related field. Strong understanding of safety standards, materials, and industrial applications. Experience managing product approvals or technical validation processes is an advantage. Competence in CRM systems, Excel, and ERP tools. Intermediate to advanced English is desirable.
