[Remote] Microsoft Purview Data Protection / Entra ID / Microsoft Defender, Customer Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. JDA TSG has immediate opportunities for a Microsoft Purview Data Protection, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender Expert to join our team as Customer Engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for customer satisfaction, deployment, adoption, optimization, and support of Microsoft Purview Data Protection, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender for Microsoft 365.
Responsibilities
- Partner with customers to assess, architect, and implement Purview, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) across Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender technologies
- Lead technical workshops, discovery sessions, architecture reviews, and deployment planning engagements
- Provide guidance on Zero Trust security architecture and modern data protection strategies encompassing Purview, EntraID and M365 Defender
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to identity, compliance, data governance, and endpoint/email protection
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, delivery, and customer success teams to drive successful engagements
- Contribute to technical documentation, architecture standards, operational runbooks, and best practices
- Stay current with evolving Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity technologies and roadmap updates
Skills
- 10 - 15+ years of experience supporting enterprise Microsoft cloud security and compliance solutions
- 7+ years of deep expertise in Microsoft Purview Data Protection & Compliance
- 7+ years of deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- 7+ years of deep expertise in Microsoft Defender for Microsoft 365
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture
- Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Strong understanding of Cloud Security & Governance
- Strong understanding of Data Security & Compliance Frameworks
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 Security Ecosystem
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers in consulting, engineering, or customer-facing technical roles
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and presentation skills
