Position Overview

The Remote Insurance Customer Service Representative is the front‑line ambassador for arenaflex. You will partner closely with our sales teams, field inbound inquiries, and guide customers through the entire policy lifecycle—from quoting and application to ongoing service and renewal. This role blends high‑touch customer interaction with precise administrative execution, ensuring that every client receives accurate information, timely support, and a seamless experience across all 50 states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Build rapport, actively listen, and create a positive, high‑level experience for each caller, chat, or email interaction.
  • Handle Inbound Inquiries: Answer calls and digital messages, address policy questions, and resolve billing or coverage concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Educate & Advise: Assess customers’ insurance needs, provide clear estimates, and recommend additional coverage options that align with their risk profile.
  • Policy Management: Research, analyze, and respond to policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, and renewals; explain coverage details in plain language.
  • Sales Support & Quoting: Generate accurate quotes for new and supplemental lines, complete applications, and follow up on missing documentation to keep the sales pipeline moving.
  • Performance & Productivity: Meet or exceed defined metrics for call handling time, first‑call resolution, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Cross‑System Navigation: Efficiently toggle between multiple internal platforms—quoting engines, CRM, underwriting tools, and communication suites—to deliver fast, error‑free service.
  • Flexibility & Team Collaboration: Offer overtime support during peak periods, assist teammates with complex cases, and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Active Resident Property & Casualty Insurance license (or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire).
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer‑service experience in insurance or a closely related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex insurance concepts in an understandable way.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Windows‑based computer systems, typing speed of at least 45 wpm, and comfort navigating multiple software applications simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with a genuine desire to help customers and support colleagues.
  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a distinct advantage.

Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Familiarity with a variety of insurance carriers and state‑specific regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience using industry‑standard quoting platforms (e.g., EZLynx, Applied Epic, or similar).
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals related to productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Problem‑solving acumen: ability to diagnose issues, propose solutions, and follow through to resolution.
  • Experience in remote or virtual work settings, including self‑discipline and effective time management.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Prioritizing the client’s needs and delivering service that exceeds expectations.
  • Communication Excellence: Clear, concise, and courteous interaction across phone, chat, and email channels.
  • Technical Agility: Rapid learning of new software tools and the ability to troubleshoot technical hiccups on the fly.
  • Analytical Thinking: Interpreting policy language, assessing risk factors, and providing accurate quotes.
  • Resilience & Adaptability: Maintaining composure under pressure and adjusting to evolving business priorities.
