Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and tech-savvy Remote Chat Support Agent to join our expanding customer experience team. In this fully remote role, you will serve as the digital front line for thousands of gig workers who rely on arenaflex and our partner staffing applications to find shifts, manage schedules, troubleshoot issues, and maximize their earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Exceptional Chat Support: Respond promptly and professionally to gig worker inquiries through arenaflex’s chat support system, providing accurate, clear, and helpful information on every interaction.
  • Resolve Concerns with Empathy: Address a wide range of gig worker concerns, issues, and complaints with patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help. Turn potentially frustrating moments into positive, confidence-building experiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with fellow support agents, technical teams, account managers, and partner staffing coordinators to ensure a seamless and efficient chat support experience across the board.
  • Maintain Platform Expertise: Stay continuously up to date with the features, updates, and functionalities of the arenaflex platform and our growing network of partner staffing applications.
  • Guide and Navigate: Walk gig workers through platform navigation, account setup, shift selection, and troubleshooting, breaking down complex steps into simple, easy-to-follow instructions.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve common technical issues, including login challenges, app errors, payment questions, and notification problems. Escalate advanced issues to the appropriate technical teams when needed.
  • Promote Platform Value: Actively and authentically communicate the benefits, features, and earning opportunities available through arenaflex to encourage engagement, retention, and long-term success.
  • Document and Escalate: Accurately document complex or unresolved queries and escalate them through the appropriate internal channels to ensure timely resolution and continuous service improvement.
  • Contribute to Team Excellence: Share insights, feedback, and recurring patterns with the broader support and product teams to help improve the platform and the overall gig worker experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Customer Support Experience: Proven experience working as a customer support agent, chat representative, or similar client-facing role, ideally within the gig economy, staffing, marketplace, or on-demand services industry.
  • Outstanding Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a natural talent for crafting clear, concise, friendly, and grammatically polished messages in a live chat environment.
  • Multitasking Mastery: Strong ability to navigate multiple chat conversations simultaneously without sacrificing quality, accuracy, or warmth.
  • Problem-Solving Prowess: Sharp analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the confidence to ask the right questions, identify root causes, and deliver effective solutions quickly.
  • Empathy First: A genuinely empathetic, customer-obsessed mindset with a sincere passion for helping gig workers overcome challenges and succeed.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating web-based software, mobile applications, helpdesk platforms, and chat support tools. Typing speed and accuracy are essential.
  • Remote Work Readiness: Demonstrated ability to work independently, stay productive, and maintain focus in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and peak hours, to meet the needs of our active gig worker community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting gig workers, freelancers, contractors, or independent workers.
  • Familiarity with the on-demand staffing industry, two-sided marketplace platforms, or workforce technology.
  • Experience using modern support tools such as Zendesk, Intercom, Freshdesk, or similar chat-based ticketing systems.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are a strong plus.
  • Comfort working with KPIs such as response time, resolution time, and customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
