Job Title: Application Architect (Low-Code / No-Code Developer – Mendix) Job Code: AZ 11454 Client: Arizona Secretary of State (AZSOS) – Information Technology Group (ITG) Location: Phoenix, AZ (100% Remote – Must Work Arizona Hours) Duration: Long-term Contract Position Overview The Arizona Secretary of State is seeking an experienced Application Architect / Low-Code Developer to support a highly visible and time-sensitive application development initiative using the Mendix platform. The selected candidate will assist with requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, deployment, and support of secure, scalable, and user-centered applications. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to critical state technology initiatives while leveraging modern Low-Code / No-Code development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Business Analysts with requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and implementation activities. Participate in application design sessions and business process improvement initiatives. Analyze current-state business processes and document workflow requirements. Develop future-state business processes, workflows, and business rules. Configure and develop Mendix applications, including: Microflows Nanoflows Domain Models UI Components Pages Integrations and Data Sources Develop process flow diagrams and application models. Create and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test cases. Coordinate testing activities with business stakeholders. Perform data validation and quality assurance activities. Support pre-production testing and production readiness activities. Troubleshoot application issues and resolve defects. Participate in status meetings and Agile ceremonies. Maintain technical, operational, and project documentation. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to project leadership. Required Skills Hands-on experience with Low-Code / No-Code development platforms. Application development, testing, and deployment experience. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Strong documentation and communication skills. Experience working with business stakeholders and technical teams. Preferred Skills Mendix Development. OutSystems Development. AWS, Azure, or GCP. SQL Server and SQL Database development. Agile/Scrum methodologies. JIRA. Automated Testing Tools.
