Position Overview: Fully Remote Special Education Teacher We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our fully remote team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with K-12 students with various disabilities, developing and implementing tailored educational plans to support their learning and growth. As a Special Education Teacher with VocoVision, you'll be responsible for providing virtual instruction and support to students, collaborating with parents and educators, and driving student progress through data-driven instruction. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop and implement tailored educational plans that cater to the unique needs of each student, ensuring they receive the support and accommodations necessary to succeed.
- Provide Virtual Instruction and Support: Deliver high-quality virtual instruction and support to students with disabilities, using a range of teaching strategies and technologies to engage and motivate learners.
- Collaborate with Parents and Educators: Work closely with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience for students, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive student progress.
- Monitor Student Progress and Adjust Teaching Strategies: Continuously monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies and IEPs as needed to ensure students are meeting their goals and making progress.
- Conduct Assessments and Maintain Accurate Records: Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student performance, using data to inform instruction and drive student growth.
- Participate in Virtual Meetings and Professional Development Opportunities: Engage in virtual meetings and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in special education, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education or a Related Field: A degree in Special Education or a related field is essential for this role, providing a foundation in the principles and practices of special education.
- Valid Arizona Teaching License in Special Education: A valid Arizona teaching license in Special Education is required, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field.
- Experience Working with K-12 Students with Diverse Learning Needs: Experience working with K-12 students with diverse learning needs is essential, providing a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by students with disabilities.
- Strong Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills are critical for success in this role, enabling you to effectively collaborate with parents and educators, and manage multiple priorities and tasks.
- Proficiency in Using Technology for Remote Teaching and Assessments: Proficiency in using technology for remote teaching and assessments is necessary, allowing you to deliver high-quality virtual instruction and support to students.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Telepractice Services: Experience with telepractice services is highly desirable, providing a understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by virtual instruction.
- Knowledge of Special Education Law and Policy: Knowledge of special education law and policy is a plus, demonstrating your understanding of the regulatory framework governing special education.
