Role Description As a Power Platform Engineer engaged on a 4-month contract, you will work with our team to design, build, and deliver business applications using Microsoft Power Platform. You will help create solutions that enable our clients to manage data, automate business processes, and support operational workflows through a shared platform. You will be involved in building solutions from the ground up. This includes designing and implementing Dataverse data models, developing applications for both internal and external users, creating workflow automations, and integrating the platform with external systems. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions while balancing user experience, platform capabilities, and long-term sustainability. You will design and build Dataverse data models, including entity relationships, security roles, and data migration activities. You will develop applications and user-facing experiences within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, leveraging shared data models and platform services. You will also design and implement workflow automations that support business processes, approvals, notifications, and operational activities. As part of the solution lifecycle, you will integrate Power Platform solutions with internal and external systems to support identity management, data exchange, and business operations. You will be expected to work with APIs and system integrations to ensure reliable, secure, and maintainable data flows across platforms. Across the board, you are expected to have great engineering discipline. Readable, documented solutions are at the core of our collaborative projects. You should be comfortable designing maintainable systems, documenting your work, and supporting end users through training and knowledge transfer. Throughout the engagement, your goal will be to deliver reliable and intuitive solutions that create meaningful value for our clients. This opportunity is offered as a fixed-term contract engagement with a duration of four (4) months. Role Requirements We're looking for someone who: Has 3+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, application development, enterprise systems development, or related fields Has demonstrated experience designing and building solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including: Dataverse Power Apps Power Automate Power Pages Has strong data modeling skills and can design Dataverse schemas with appropriate entity relationships, security considerations, and maintainable structures Can translate business requirements into application designs, workflows, and user experiences while considering platform capabilities and constraints Has demonstrated experience working with: APIs and system integrations Data migration and data synchronization processes Version control systems such as git Has strong communication skills: You'll regularly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, document solutions, conduct user training sessions, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and trade-offs. Enjoys solving complex operational problems through technology and can balance business needs with maintainability and scalability. Makes things fast: Time is our most precious resource. You should be able to identify opportunities to automate manual processes, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiency. Builds sustainably: We value solutions that can be maintained and extended over time. You should be able to identify recurring patterns, establish best practices, and create solutions that remain manageable as requirements evolve. Has high initiative: This engagement involves building new capabilities from the ground up, requiring proactive problem-solving, ownership, and a willingness to navigate ambiguity.
