[Remote] Sr. Data Scientist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Judge Group is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design and deliver machine learning and NLP solutions for risk and claims analytics. The role involves translating business problems into data science solutions, building ML/NLP models, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate insights and monitor model performance.
Responsibilities
- Translate business problems into data science solutions aligned to KPI
- Build ML/NLP models for incident prioritization and claim severity prediction
- Perform data preparation, feature engineering, and record linkage
- Generate explainable insights for business stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, risk, and legal
- Monitor model performance, drift, and retraining need
- Document models, validate results, and ensure data governance compliance
- Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
Skills
- Master's degree in a quantitative field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years of data science or ML experience (2+ with PhD)
- Experience with Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience building and deploying ML models
- Experience with NLP, optimization (LP/MIP), and MLOps
- Knowledge of data governance and PII handling
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Background in risk, insurance, or claims analytics
