[Remote] Senior Finance Systems Manager (Workday)
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Next Ventures is partnering with an education institute that is investing in its ERP and finance systems landscape. They are seeking a Senior Finance Systems Manager to lead strategic initiatives across their Workday Financial Management environment, focusing on optimizing and enhancing Workday capabilities across Finance and related business units.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of complex Workday Finance solutions
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Payroll, Technology, and business stakeholders to improve processes and system functionality
- Drive operational improvements, automation initiatives, and scalable ERP solutions
- Oversee Workday enhancements, testing cycles, upgrades, support tickets, and release activities
- Translate business requirements into effective functional and technical solutions
- Manage and mentor a team responsible for ongoing Workday support and optimization
- Support governance, change management, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts
- Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business leadership
Skills
- Strong background within Workday Finance modules and ERP operations
- 7+ years of Workday experience across configuration, sustainment, or implementation
- 10+ years of overall business systems or operational experience
- 3+ years of leadership or people management experience
- Deep understanding of FDM, Cash & Banking, Financial Accounting, Budgets, etc
- Experience with integrations, EIBs, testing, and system optimization
- Strong accounting and finance process knowledge
- CPA and/or Workday certifications
