Night Medical Transcriptionist; Remote SAMMS

Position Night Medical Transcriptionist (Remote) – 40h/wk (SAMMS) Temp - Administrative - Medical Transcriptionist (Nights) Boston MA job ton, MA. Position - Medical Transcription (Remote) Location - Boston, MA, 02118 Shift - Night, 1000 PM - 600 AM, Thursday - Monday Assignment Length- 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours- 40 hours/week Pay - Hourly $21 Requirements

• Experience in healthcare, substance use treatment, or OTP settings - Required
• Familiarity with SAMMS or equivalent EMR systems - Required
• Located in Boston and can pick up equipment onsite.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality laws and privacy standards.
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and written documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and remain responsive during overnight or evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency dose confirmation calls from hospitals, OTPs, emergency responders, and healthcare providers.
• Utilize the SAMMS electronic medical record system to accurately verify patient dosing history.
• Confirm identity and credentials of the requesting party prior to disclosure.
• Share verified information securely and document each request per regulatory requirements.
• Comply with all privacy standards, including 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and 105 CMR 164.
• Participate in ongoing training related to secure communications and emergency protocols. Benefits and Compensation
